Situated at Avoca Beach, on a leafy two acres in one of the Central Coast’s oldest homesteads, Bombini by Cameron and Hayley Cansdell offers modern Italian cuisine with an emphasis on fresh produce selected from Australia and Italy. With a focus on sustainability for our land, the property includes on-site vegetable gardens and chickens. The restaurant features a three course a la carte menu, with antipasto, cocktails and a diverse wine list available in the separate, generously-sized terrace bar.

Open for dinner from 5pm, Wednesday to Friday, from 12 noon Saturday and all day from 8am to late on Sunday, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our Food

The focus of the food at Bombini is our selection of fine produce from Australia and Italy, combined with fruit, vegetables and fresh eggs from our kitchen garden. We take the best ingredients, organic where possible, and present them simply and elegantly, with a respect for sustainability. All of the products used in our kitchen have been sourced based on these values – Salts and flours, outstanding regional cheeses, pasta from Italy’s best producers, grass-fed meats and game, and sustainable seafood from Australia.

Some of our favourite suppliers and producers include Pino’s Dolce Vita Fine Foods Kogarah, Robbins Island grass-fed wagyu beef, Pinnacle dry-aged grass-fed beef, Palmers Island farmed mulloway, Australia On A Plate cheeses, Lario international Food & Wine Co, Herbies Spices, Mount Zero Olives and Milawa Mustards.

 

The bar

The Bombini Bar is a large, undercover terrace, perfect for a pre-dinner or after-work drinks. We stock a generous selection of Italian, French and Australian wines along with quality spirits and beers. Cocktails are also available in the bar, with an emphasis on refreshing European classics like Aperol Spritz and Bellinis. To accompany your drink, our bar food options include Italian olives with balsamic onions, Roast tomato with buffalo mozzarella and a delicious selection of cured meats. So pull up a chair or relax on a daybed, have a chat and linger.

Bombini Bar is open from 4pm on Fridays and from midday on Saturday and Sunday. Join us for Aperitivo afternoon 4pm to 6pm, Friday to Sunday where complimentary bar food is served with drinks.

 

The Garden

Part of our vision at Bombini is to grow as much of our produce as we can. The restaurant, situated on two acres, has established vegetable beds and fruit trees. The Garden at Bombini is very much a work in progress and will mature over time. Feel free to explore the area and ask any questions.
